Was that the one by HTP we were discussing a couple years back?

Unit 5 components. Nice looking triple clamps, and the vortex clipons are lighter than stock and a decent amount further forward and more narrow for a better tuck.

The Unit 5 clamps do have upper and lower clamps as necessary with Ohlins forks. They look cool and they can be ordered offset. I'm having a hard time believing the whole setup along with clipons is lighter than stock though. Maybe it would be lighter with carbon bars. Delete the ignition cylinder from the stock triple tree and use carbon bars, I think that might be a little lighter than the whole setup with Unit 5 clamps.

Another thing, how much forward can you move the clipons without having the levers bump the ram air covers at full lock? I suppose the Unit 5 has a reduced radius on the locks? How does that effect street riding needing to maneuver in tight spaces?

It hasn't been mounted yet. Hopefully I'll let you know soon...

OK and for future reference, any clearance reduction with the radiator below? I'm thinking the radiator might need to be brought forward to install turbo.

The unit 5 clamps seem to be a touch lighter than modified stock clamps. No provisions for steering lock, range of motion stops, or mount for the air deflector. We'll try to use the steering damper to limit the range and fab a small bracket under the clamp for the air deflector.

I've been riding mine without the triple tree cover for 5 years. I don't think it has any effect on aerodynamics being way inside the wheel area. I haven't noticed any difference in engine temp and no problem with debris flying up at me. I believe that thing is there to shield the rider from stones flying up but the fender seems to take car of that. The triple tree cover and the one bolt weigh 3.60 oz. The other two triple tree cover bolts fastened the horn so I include them in horn weight. I think you can skip the triple tree cover if you want.
